We are helping our clients meet the challenges faced in countries and cities across the globe, providing innovative solutions from replacing conventional thermal power plants with renewable energy to developing demand-side management strategies.
The responsibilities of the Substation Primary/Earthing Design Engineer would be:
- Working as part of a team to provide HV/EHV substation primary detailed designs to clients in the power generation, transmission, distribution, and industrial HV sectors.
- Actively participate and lead business development for Power Transmission clients
- Projects completion on schedule and on budget.
- Responsible for implementing Jacobs QA procedures and Client QA requirements
- Monitoring and reporting of project progress, risks and issues
- Identify and pursue opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Active participation as a team member and/or technical lead on all projects
- Provision of support/coaching/mentoring to other staff as appropriate
- Coordination and co-operation with other team members to achieve team objectives
Requirement :
- Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent accredited degree
- At least 5+ years relevant experience primary systems design preferably in EHV transmission, distribution or heavy industrial electrical engineering
- Experience in the use of CDEGS
- Experience in the use of PSCAD is preferred
- Understanding of Australian and Victorian T&D utility would be an added advantage.
