  • Category-I Stipendiary Trainee/Scientific Assistant (ST/SA)-Diploma Holders in Engineering  
  1. During 1st year of training stipend of 16000/- Per Month.
  2. During 2nd year of training stipend of 18000/- Per Month. 
After successful completion of training, the trainees are likely to be considered for appointment to the post of Scientific Assistant/B (Group-B) in the pay of 35400/- in level 6 of Revised Pay Structure (Pay Matrix) under CCS (RP) Rules, 2016. Additional increment/s, as per extant rules, depending upon performance during training program may also be granted.  

Selection Procedure

Category-I Stipendiary Trainee/Scientific Assistant (ST/SA) - Diploma Holders in Engineering and Category-I Stipendiary Trainee/Scientific Assistant (ST/SA)- Science Graduates 
  • Written Examination + Personal Interview
  • The written examination will be OMR based or Computer Based Test (CBT)  

 Written Examination

  • 01 (One) mark will be awarded for each correct answer and 1/4th marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.  
  • OMR based OR Computer Based Test will be held for Screened-In candidates.
  • The duration of examination will be of 2 Hrs. 
  • Additional 20 minutes for each hour will be given to PwBD candidates. 
  • Examination will comprise 100 multiple choice questions
  • Exact date, time and venue of the examination will be indicated in the Admit Card. 
  • Result of written examination will be displayed at NPCIL website www.npcilcareers.co.in only.
