The production supervisor is responsible for the planning, coordination, and control of the production of hot-dipped galvanized fasteners.
Key responsibilities:
1. Drawing up a production schedule2. Working out the human and materials resources needed3. Estimating how long a job will take, costing it and setting the quality standards4. Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed5. Supervising and motivating a team of workers6. Working on the installation of equipment based on the plant layout, materials handling, and production planning (including demand forecasting, production scheduling, and ordering of material)7. Working on production control (the sequencing of jobs, updating time schedules, etc.), stock control, quality control, health and safety issues, and the maintenance and replacement of production equipment. Working on scheduling the work, disciplinary matters, identifying training needs and progressing labourer skills8. Estimating the future capacity, coordinating the work of planners and supervisors and liaising with buyers, sales, and engineering staff9. Reporting to the factory manager
